Stenbrudsgården, Center for Regional- og Turismeforskning
Center for Regional and Tourism Research is a self-governing R & D institution affiliated to the Regional Municipal Council of Bornholm. The Center has its own governing body and the staff totals 20 employees.

The Center has existed since 1994. Read more about the history of CRT here. Ever since the beginning tourism and regional development has been the main focus and Stenbrudsgården on the outskirts of Nexø the geographical setting.

CRT is partly financed by an annual basic grant funded by an appropriation for Bornholm-related projects under the Finance and Appropriation Act.
The Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (VTU) has concluded an agreement with the Regional Municipality of Bornholm regarding the use of this grant and CRT fulfils this agreement on behalf of the municipality. The main purpose of the grant is to secure the carrying out of research-based project activities which can contribute to the regional development on Bornholm. However, the main part of the Center’s consultancy and development activities are entirely or partly carried through due to external financing.
