ISISA XII

Islands of the World Conference 2012 has been held May 28 – June 1, 2012 on the British Virgin Islands and hosted with great success by the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College.

The conference theme was: Globalisation: Islands Adapting to Change and contained four days of academic presentations and discussions as well as political and academic debates on subjects relevant for all who venture into the realm of islands and island studies.  The next ISISA conference will be held May 27-30 on the island of Jersey in the English Channel and hosted by the Highlands College University Centre and Hautlieu School Campus on Jersey. The theme will be Islands: Challenges and success – turning adversity to advantage.
