The Regional Economic Model

At CRT, we have developed a number of special versions and modules for the Regional Economic Model (SAM/K-LINE®) to capture the many nuances of the economy and meet different needs and purposes.

Business and Labor Market

The business and labor market model is used to describe and project the economic development as well as potential future mismatches on the labor market in Danish regions and municipalities.

Climate

The climate module is used to assess the impact of the economy on the climate. It is used by VisitDenmark to monitor and follow tourism's climate footprint, both for the destinations and the entire country.

Health

The health model is used by the KRØS alliance to project the supply and demand for labor for the health and care staff in Danish regions and municipalities

Tourism

The tourism model is used by VisitDenmark and the destinations to monitor and monitor the economic impact of tourism both locally and for the Danish economy as a whole.

The Regional Economic Model

The Regional Economic Model SAM-K/LINE® is a socio-economic model that allows monitoring and projecting local and regional developments in relation to Business & Labour, Health, Tourism and Climate. With the model, it is also possible to calculate the impact of scenarios/projects.

Carbon Footprint of Tourism in Denmark

Socio-economic importance of tourism

CRT, together with VisitDenmark, prepares an annual inventory of the economic importance of tourism at municipal level in Denmark.

2024

Projection of supply and demand for health and care professionals

CRT prepares for the KrøS-Alliance a projection of the health and care staff in Danish regions and municipalities up to 2040. The projection is based on CRT's regional economic model SAM-K/LINE®, which can project labour supply and demand all the way down to the municipal level, while being consistent with national forecasts and projections.
