Provision for business development on Bornholm

The project aims to establish a foundation for business, regional municipalities, foundations and civil society to initiate long-term work that strengthens business development on Bornholm in order to create improved economic sustainability, which makes Bornholm an attractive place to live and live for future generations.

Bornholm has major economic challenges, which are particularly evident in the municipal economy, where large savings have to be made annually. This affects the entire Bornholm community, which is at risk of being caught in a downward spiral. This project will lay the foundation for long-term cooperation, to make the maximum impact in terms of business and education from the opportunities that Bornholm has in the coming years within business development, for example in relation to Energiø Bornholm. The ambition is to focus both on concrete business promotion measures and on the framework conditions that are essential for business development, including relocation, retention, training and housing provision.

In this context, the Centre for Regional and Tourism Research maps Bornholm's basis for creating this business development.

The project is a preliminary project to lay the groundwork for a subsequent long-term scaling.
