Authors: Lene Feldthus Andersen, Carl Henrik Marcussen, Jie Zhang, and Julie Bennedbæk.Commissioned by the People's Meeting Association (FF), Destination Bornholm (DB), and Business Center Bornholm (BCB), the Centre for Regional and Tourism Research (CRT) has measured and evaluated selected effects of the People's Meeting on Bornholm in 2017. CRT has investigated the following main question and sub-questions:

What are the direct and indirect economic effects of the People's Meeting as a tourism event? a) How many overnight stays does the People's Meeting generate? b) What tourism-related revenue does the People's Meeting generate? c) What is the socio-economic impact of this revenue? d) Has the People's Meeting generated more overnight stays at other times?

In addition, CRT has analyzed a number of other factors, such as the price level for accommodation during the People's Meeting, the socio-economic impact of operating the People's Meeting, and the return on Bornholm's investment in the event. Finally, CRT has evaluated various options for data collection regarding the People's Meeting.
